K 2010 Outlook: DSM's two new high temperature resistant products for automotive engine silos are expected
DSM will display two new types of Diablo high temperature resistant polyamides for automotive engine silos: stanyldiabloocd2300 and akulondiablo at the k2010 exhibition in Germany

stanyldiabloocd2300 is a special high-temperature resistant polyamide 46 material. Its long-term thermal stability has been revolutionary improved. It is specially developed to meet the increasing long-term thermal aging temperature of the engine compartment. By limiting thermal oxidative decomposition, stanyldiablo can successfully pass the high-temperature test for more than 3000 hours at a thermal aging temperature of 230 ℃ before its tensile strength is less than half of its initial value. stanyldiablo ocd2100 and ocd2300 launched in 2007 are not only better than current high-temperature resin products in high-temperature stability, but also in weldability, welding strength and long-term thermal stability of welding. This high-performance akulon is specially developed for air/fuel systems. This material can be used continuously in the environment up to 210 ℃, even in the environment of 230 ℃ for a short period of time. At k Exhibition 2010, DSM engineering plastics will announce the commercialization of akulonrc mono6 polyamide. The new material is planned to be launched at the end of 2010, and the application products of this material will be sold in early 2011.
